Quick Where the Trail Is Already Good
Not every ride is a fight. The ZIPPER is a fast-rolling trail tire — a shallow 0.75-inch tread on a light 6-ply radial casing, built to make a machine feel quicker on groomed and maintained trail.
Lug depth costs you rolling resistance, and rolling resistance costs you throttle response and fuel. The shallow, tightly spaced tread on the ZIPPER keeps more rubber continuously in contact with hardpack, so the machine accelerates and holds speed with noticeably less effort than an aggressive tread.
It is not a highway tire, though. There is enough shoulder block to hold a corner when the surface breaks loose over gravel or a dusty berm — it simply does not carry the weight of tread you would never use on a groomed track.
The ZIPPER carries the highest speed rating in the range at K (68 mph) with a 74 load index (800 lbs), run at 18 psi on a 7–9 inch rim. DOT approved and road legal in all 50 states.

1,100 miles and still plenty of depth
Mostly maintained trail with some gravel road between systems. Measured last week out of curiosity and there is a good deal left. For a tread this shallow that surprised me.
Half of what I was quoted locally
My local shop wanted nearly double for a comparable trail tire and could not tell me why.
Machine feels quicker without touching the clutching
Fitted these to a machine that only ever sees maintained track. Same gearing and same clutch weights, and it now pulls up to speed noticeably easier. Rolling resistance turns out to be a real thing.
Fast on groomed, lost the moment it rains
On dry maintained trail nothing I have run rolls easier. One wet weekend and I was sliding on grades I would not normally think twice about.
Shallow tread but the shoulder still holds a corner when the surface starts breaking up.
Right tire, wrong buyer
Rolls beautifully, no argument. But I ride loose rocky ground far more than groomed track and it is out of its depth.
Smoothest tire I have run on this machine
Tight block spacing means far less thumping through the seat at speed. Long days are less tiring than they were.
Gone in a single summer
One year of mixed riding and these are down to almost nothing. Pleasant while they lasted, but I am not buying tires twice a year.
Fine for what it is, though a shallow tread means a sharp rock sits closer to the belt than I would like.
Straight fit on a 2021 RZR Trail S with no clearance work anywhere.
