The Quad Tire That Earns Its Keep
The BLACKTAIL is the everyday ATV tire — a 1-inch balanced lug on a 6-ply radial casing, sized for the utility quads that spend Monday hauling and Saturday on the trail.
The lug spacing is deliberately even. Nothing about the BLACKTAIL is tuned for one surface at the expense of the others, which is exactly what you want on a machine that crosses wet roots, a loose climb and a gravel yard inside the same hour.
A 6-ply radial casing and a 66 load index (662 lbs per corner) give it real working capacity — racks loaded, trailer on the back — without the harshness a stiffer carcass brings on hardpack. Run it at 14 psi on a 5–7 inch rim.
DOT approved and road legal in all 50 states, in 12 and 14 inch fitments from 25 to 28 inches, with a 1-year manufacturer warranty.

My 28s brush the plastics slightly at full lock on a Grizzly 700. Trimmed one corner and it has been fine since.
One working year, barely touched
A full year of chores and weekend riding and the depth has hardly moved. I expected worse at this money.
Hauled feed and fence posts all summer on a loaded rack. No sign at all of the sidewalls giving up.
Two of four would not balance
Two of the four took a lot of weight to balance and one still shakes the bars above thirty.
Civil between the fields
Quiet enough on the gravel lane that I no longer dread the ride between paddocks.
Four for less than a pair anywhere else
Priced the same size at three shops. Four of these came in under what a matching pair cost me last time.
Good working tire, average in the deep stuff
For farm duty and trail it is exactly right. Drop it into a proper bog and it packs up and stops clearing. Buy it for what it is.
26x9-12 went straight onto a Sportsman 570 on the stock rims.
Grips well, wearing quicker than I hoped
No fault with the traction. But I am down a third of the depth in a year and I do not ride hard.
Hooks up on wet roots
I ride the same lease every autumn and the root crossings on the north side used to mean picking a line and hoping. These grab where my old set slid sideways. Not an aggressive-looking tread, but it keeps finding an edge.
